What do we use?

We have the great benefit of being able to select what equipment we want to use as we are not sponsored by any manufacturers. From time to to time we are loaned equipment for evaluation but we always make it clear when that is the case.

For studio lights at the economy end Godox have taken the market by storm in the last few years. The Chinese manufacturer supplies it's lights through many third party resellers but be careful with warranties. We recomend either buying Godox brand from Lencarta who are official UK importers or the Pixapro branded versions that come with excellent support and warranty.

The speedlights we currently use and have been for some years are made by Yongnuo. We have also listed all the modifiers and accessories that make up Andrew's Bag of Light. We are currently evaluating the Godox range of speedlights which have the advantage they can be used in HSS or TTL with suitable triggers on Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus/Panasonic.

The following links will open up with links to Amazon, if the kit is available from them. We will shortly be adding direct links to Wex for the more expensive strobes.
