Fine Art Childrens Portraiture
27th May 2017
After the success of our first Fine Art Children's Portraiture workshop we are delighted to be revisiting Leicester.
This is a workshop which combines the skills of two trainers. The incredibly talented Claire Elliott, highly acclaimed for her new born and child photography, is co-presenter on this comprehensive one-day course.
Learn how to capture mood and character in your shots of little ones through the subtle use of light. You will be taught classic lighting patterns and the art of shaping faces to create beautiful and evocative images. Expert tuition will show you how to achieve excellent results with speed lights, studio lights and constant lights, together with how to choose the right lens for the job.
Claire’s invaluable skills and experience will teach you everything from how to style a shoot to directing and posing babies, tots and youngsters. Learn from her understanding of children and how to get those heart-melting moments that parents and grandparents adore.
During the one day course we will work through 6 different lighting solutions that work with children from 2 years up. From a broad setup suitable for fast moving tots through some current fashion and lifestyle looks and finally onto the fine art look more suited to older children.
There will be a range of child models to shoot and lighting equipment from Bowens plus we will cover shooting with speedlights and natural light.
The workshop takes place at Biscuit Photography Studios, in Leicester
The workshop runs between 10am – 5pm on the 27th May, includes refreshments and a light lunch. The cost of the workshop is £299 per person and is limited to a maximum of 8 photographers.
