Just 8 places in total
How well do you know Photoshop?
Photoshop should surely be one of the photographer’s best friends. And, like all best friends, you need to get to know it really well to understand it properly. Four days away with the most popular editing software in the world, and a trainer who can take you through it step-by-step - you will be amazed how much you can learn!
Your trainer
Andrew, has all the right credentials to teach you what you need to know; he began with Photoshop in 1994 and has been using it ever since. 25 years working with this powerful piece of software and a proven track record in training means you will be getting one of the best and fastest hands-on learning experiences available - in just four days. Andrew’s method of teaching is based on the premise that you need to know why you are doing something in order for it to sink in and become intuitive. Learning in this way enables you to understand the process and, just as important, how to work it out faster when something unexpected happens!
Your learning
So, what is Andrew’s approach? There’s a logic to the order in which he teaches, building up from the basics over the four days. On some workshops out there, you go through the various tools Photoshop has to offer and then work up an image up from scratch; on others, you start with the finished image and re-wind back to the original. Both methods are valid. That’s why we use both. This two-way strategy covers all the bases and really helps you deepen your knowledge of the language, tools and features of this comprehensive piece of software.
Secondly, because your learning is packed strategically into 4 days to cover a broad range of skills, you will learn plenty while working at a pace which is manageable. As you return to tools, actions and processes again and again, you’ll become more and more familiar with them. There will be constant support from Andrew and his assistant but if you feel some of the concepts covered need a bit of additional reinforcement, we’ve got that covered too. On Days 1 and 2, you are invited to an early-evening catch up session to iron out any fuzzy areas and get them firmly embedded in your brain. The whole course is designed to make sure that everyone can get the most out of each day. And in the evening, enjoy a meal with like-minded people; share your thoughts - or maybe just relax in readiness for the following day.
